A seasonal campaign works best when the product, message, and arrival date fit the same moment.
Choose moments relevant to the product
Spring’s school and work transitions, summer activities, and year-end gifting offer different contexts. Use them as prompts for customer research, not assumptions that every category will benefit.
Match the creative to a real use or occasion. A useful explanation of how a product fits someone’s plans can be more compelling than adding a seasonal label to an unrelated discount.
Plan backwards from delivery
Confirm supplier, carrier, and support schedules before announcing a promotion. Cross-border shipping and made-to-order production need their own buffers. Set order cut-offs from the delivery promise you can support, and communicate exceptions clearly.
Keep a learning calendar
Record campaign timing, creative, availability, results, and operational problems. Review the full outcome, including late orders and refunds, before repeating a campaign the following year. Confirm the relevant dates and business closures afresh each season.
